Delta's team of spirited employees takes pride in serving the communities in which they live and work. Through their volunteer and fund-raising activities, they strive to make a positive contribution to the lives of their fellow citizens. Delta's various community relations initiatives fall under the umbrella program known as "Delta Cares".

| Adopt-A-Shelter |
Delta Hotels has partnered with the Canadian Women's Foundation to launch "Adopt-A-Shelter", a program designed to improved the quality of life for abused women and their children.
Out hotels from coast to coast have "adopted" a local women's shelter.
Through the program, hotels provide shelters with re-usable goods from guestrooms, such as furniture, bedding, towels, curtains, etc. These on-going relationships assist women and children residing in shelters, as well as those seeking a new beginning in second-stage housing.

| Home for the Holidays |
For over ten years, Delta has reached out to families in need during the holiday season through "A Home for the Holidays".
Delta hotels across Canada participate in this program, offering short-term complimentary accommodations to out-of-town families visiting hospitalized relatives during the months of December and January. Administered jointly between local Delta hotels and their selected partner hospitals, the program offers comfort to families dealing with the stress of illness, by providing them with a home-away-from-home during the holiday season.

| Green Key Eco-Rating Program |
 Whether it's through our nation-wide "Adopt a Shelter" initiative whereby lightly used furniture and other goods are donated to local women's shelters; the chainwide recycling and towel and sheet re-use programs; the move towards using high-efficiency compact fluorescent bulbs, or the diversion of more and more organic waste, we are committed to minimizing our footprint. As a quality organization, this is a key focus for all of us at Delta Hotels.
An important partner in this process is the Hotel Association of Canada. Our hotels and resorts are audited and rated by its well-established and well-regarded Green Key Eco-Rating Program. Recognizing companies like ours that are committed to improving their environmental performance, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program evaluates a hotel's performance in nine areas of sustainable operations including:
